Rabbi Zvi Hirsh Lieberman – Rav of Edgware Adath Yisroel Congregation

Rabbi Zvi Hirsh Lieberman was born in Chicago Illinois in 1960 where his father was then a communal Rav and Head of the local Orthodox Jewish Day School. Rabbi Lieberman studied at the Talmudical Yeshiva of Philadelphia, Yeshivot in Eretz Yisroel and then at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in New York and Montreal from where he received Semicha from the Yeshiva and a personal Semicha from Rav Pinchas Hirshprung zt”l, then Chief Rabbi of Montreal.
After involvement in various Jewish educational activities in Montreal, Rabbi Lieberman came to England in 1985 to lead the Kingston, Surbiton and District United Synagogue.
In 1990 Rabbi Lieberman was appointed as Rav of the Edgware Adath Yisroel Congregation.
While continuing in this capacity he is involved in numerous rabbinical and educational activities in the fields of Kashrus and as a Maggid Shiur at the Hasmonean Beth Hamedrash Programme.
Rabbi Lieberman is married to Feigy Lieberman, herself a pioneering educationalist in the field of teaching advanced Jewish Studies at Immanuel College, Bushey.
Rabbi Doniel Karp – Sefardi Minyan

Rabbi Doniel Karp was born in London and educated at City of London School. He went on from there to study at Yeshivat Mercaz Hatorah in Israel and Mir, Jerusalem and after getting married to Nechamah in 1999, they returned to Eretz Yisrael, where they spent the next five years while Rabbi Karp continued his studies in Kollel.
They returned to England in 2004 to become one of the founding members of Dayan Ehrentreu’s Edgware Kollel, at which time Rabbi Karp first became involved with Edgware Adath Yisroel Community, giving a number of shiurim within the community. Rabbi Karp remained in the kollel for four years and it was during this period that Rabbi Karp received semicha from Dayan Lopian zt”l.
When a new Sefardi minyan was opened in Edgware in 2008, Rabbi Karp became the Rabbi and has led them throughout their journey until they eventually became part of the EAYC in 2011. The Sefardi minyan at the EAYC has flourished over the subsequent years under his leadership and now has a full range of services for Shabbat and Chagim as well as a Sunday morning minyan for Shacharit and a variety of shiurim and events throughout the year.
Rabbi Karp and Nechamah are both very involved in Jewish education beyond EAYC. Rabbi Karp teaches Jewish studies at JFS and is responsible for the KS3 Text Programme at the school and Nechamah is Head of Early Years at Beis Chinuch Girls School in Edgware.

Shabbos Hashkama Minyan- Rabbi Chaim Vennit

London born Rabbi Venitt began his affiliation with the Edgware Adath Yisroel Congregation in 2004 where he gives a practical halacha shiur after the Shabbos Hashkomo minyan on the subject of Hilchos Shabbos.
Rabbi Venitt spent seven years learning in Israel in Yeshivas Ofakim and Yeshivas Mir where he attained Semicha. In 2004 Rabbi Venitt returned to London to study in Kollel. Alongside his Torah learning, he later began studying for an accountancy qualification and during the day now works as a senior manager in his family’s accountancy firm.
Rabbi Venitt lives in Edgware with his wife and family.
